Day 1: Marrakech City – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley
Our 4 days Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga start with a pick up from your accomodation or airport depends on your arrival time. You will travel South towards Dades Valley via the high Atlas Mountains and Tizi N Tichka Pass. Enjoying its amazing panoramic view of small Berber villages along the way. Before arrive in Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah; the oldest Berber Kasbah in Morocco and one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites; the village is known as a backdrop for many cinematographic works, the most famous ones are ‘The gladiator’, ‘Lawrence of Arabia’ and more. We will discover and visit the Kasbah with a local guide. Later on we will continue our journey to reach Dades Valley, passing by Ouarzazate Town ( the Hollywood of Morocco),visit the Taourirt Kasbah. And continue towards Kelaa Megouna know as the Roses village. Arrive in at our traditional Riad or Hotel in Boumalne Dades.
Day 2 : Dades Valley – Tinghir – Erfoud – Merzouga Sahara Desert
The second day of our 4 days Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. After breakfast, we will drive from Dades gorges to Erg Chebbi sand dunes. We will pass through Todra Gorges where you will have free time to walk along the canyons of about 300m high, a preferred place of mountain climbers; before we head to Erfoud (Known for its fossile factories). After reach in Merzouga and relaxing a few minutes you will take some of your luggage in a small bag (just the necessary for the night in desert camp) and leave the other luggage in the hotel, then we will ride the camels crossing the Erg Chebbi golden sand dunes. This is a great opportunity to take amazing photos of the sunset. When we reach to the camp; you will be welcomed with cup of tea and have free time to walk in the highest sand dunes around the camp for sandboarding. Spend the night in our desert luxury camp after having dinner, followed by Berber drumming music and dance around the fire and under a magical starry sky.
Day 3 : Merzouga – Around Erg Chebbi Sand Dune Tour
Today, you will get up early to watch the stunning sunrise over the sand dunes, then have your traditional breakfast. Ride your camel back to Merzouga where your driver waiting for you to take you on ann off-road adventure tour around the largest and highest sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Take the advantage to discover the region of Merzouga Sahara desert it is an amazing place for off road adventures. You will explore the small Berber villages near sand dunes begin by a visit to Khamlia village is known as the black people. The hospitably welcomed with a cup of tea while enjoying their spiritual Gnawa music. After we will continue towards the panoramic view of sand dunes, and visit Berber Nomads as they are taking care of herds of cattle, goats and camels. We will visit some deserted mines. Head back to Merzouga. and have free time to shower and rest at a hostel.
Day 4 : Merzouga – Back to Marrakech Via Agdez and Ouarzazate
After having your traditional breakfast at our hostel. We leave the Sahara desert of Merzouga traveling back to Marrakech. Via Rissani, the ancient capital of Morocco. The journey will take us through the Berber villages of Alnif and N’Kob and through the Draa Valley to Agdez. We will continue to Ouarzazate, then return to Marrakech over the High Atlas Mountains again. End of our 4 days Sahara desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga with drop off at your hotel / Riad, or airport depends of your departure time.
